Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is hiring a Drivers Mate for our Tilbury site (RM18 7HZ). You will support the driver by delivering barrels and cases of drinks to pub cellars, performing up to 12 drops per day and ensuring safe, on-time service.

This full-time, permanent role offers a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday with an early start between 04:00 and 07:00. Join a fast-paced team committed to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Driver Mate or similar desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle checks, including opening curtain-sided vehicles and inner curtains.
• Unloading barrels from the vehicle onto a mat.
• Rolling barrels to a cellar or similar storage area.
• Entering and exiting cellars, which may involve steps, confined spaces, reduced lighting, and roping/lowering barrels into the cellar.
• Rolling barrels into their designated positions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering excellent service to customers.

An exciting opportunity for a Drivers Mate has opened at our Greene King site in Tilbury (RM18 7HZ) . You will be responsible for delivering barrels and cases of drinks to pub cellars, completing up to 12 drops per day while working alongside a driver.

This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be contracted to work 45 hours per week , Monday to Friday , on an early shift pattern with start times between 04:00 and 07:00 .
