Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics Limited in Colchester is seeking a dedicated Driver Trainer to provide ongoing assessments and training for drivers, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient performance. The role runs Monday to Friday with a 40k per annum salary and occasional planning duties as required.

The successful candidate will deliver Driver CPC training, maintain records for audits, monitor driver behaviour via telematics, and collaborate with HR during onboarding to reinforce Health & Safety

Qualifications

• Instructors Licence required.
• Approved Driver CPC trainer.
• Class 1 driving licence.
• Experience as driver assessor or instructor.
• Experience completing driver assessments.
• Preparation of audits including FORS.
• Ability to apply Driver regulations in practice.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist all Drivers to ensure they can complete daily tasks in line with regulations while minimizing risks.
• Deliver all Driver CPC training and keep accurate records of hours before expiry dates.
• Maintain records for internal and FORS audits.
• Utilize telematics to monitor driver behaviours and conduct de-briefs for safe and efficient driving.
• Work with HR to induct and train new Drivers on Health & Safety and Safe Working Practices.
• Collate information and driver behaviours into group reports for Compliance to maintain data.
• Monitor Drivers' hours and Working Time in line with legislation and provide additional training as needed.

Kinaxia are recruiting a Driver Trainer to join their team at their site in Colchester. The role of the Driver Trainer will be toprovide ongoing assessments and training to all Drivers to ensure they have the skills and capability to fulfill their role effectively, efficiently and safely.

About the job

• Monitor and assist all Drivers to ensure they have the ability to complete their daily tasks in accordance with all regulations without taking, or causing any additional risks;
• Deliver all Driver CPC training and maintain accurate records to ensure all the required hours are completed prior to their expiry dates;
• Maintain accurate records for internal purposes and FORS to ensure each location meets all required standards in preparation for both external and internal audits;
• Fully utilise the telematics systems to monitor driver behaviours and safe driving, including monitoring infringements and completing driver De-Briefs to ensure they are driving safely and efficiently and meeting agreed KPI's;
• Work closely with HR to induct and train all new Drivers during the onboarding process with regards to Health & Safety and Safe Working Practices to ensure each employee has the skills and knowledge to work safely both within their role and environment;
• Collate required information, including Driver behaviours into Group reports in order for the Compliance Department to maintain accurate statistical data.
• Monitor Driver's hours and Working Time in line with current legislation support drivers with additional training as required.

Your knowledge and experience

• Instructors Licence
• Approved Driver CPC trainer
• Class 1 driving licence
• Driver assessor or instructor experience
• Experience of completing driver assessments
• Preparation of all business documentation and training for audits including FORS
• The ability to apply the application of Driver regulations into practice
• Telematics systems such as TruTac, microlise, haultech
• Presentation skills to include the delivery of internal training sessions.
• Administration skills to record and maintain accurate records and statistical data
• Data Analysis to look for any trends in behaviour or incidents
• Effective communication skills with all employees to create long-term relationships
