Job summary

Alliance Healthcare UK is hiring a Driver Team Manager at our Birmingham site. You will oversee a mixed LGV/LCV fleet, ensure transport compliance and lead a remote team to deliver high service standards.

You will manage staffing, regulatory requirements and safety culture, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost control within budget. This role demands strong leadership and excellent stakeholder collaboration across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading transport operations and remote teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation, driver/vehicle compliance, health & safety.
• Experience with temperature-controlled transport and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate the transport team across multiple shifts.
• Ensure safe, compliant operation of LGV/LCV fleets and regulatory adherence.
• Monitor KPI performance and drive continuous improvements in transport services.
• Manage budgets and operational costs while maintaining service levels.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
