Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd in Walsall is seeking a Support Worker - Driver to provide person-centred support in a busy service. The role involves helping Service Users with daily living skills, promoting independence and wellbeing, and supporting community activities.

The position requires a manual driver, DBS confirmation, and willingness to work unsociable hours on a rota. A Health & Social qualification is encouraged, with full-time hours and a 37.5-hour week.

Job description

Support Worker - Driver

Location: Walsall

Rate: £12.79 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

About the Service – Rushall Day Centre

Rushall Day Centre is a service that is open Monday - Friday and supports Service Users with Learning and Physical Disability. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has a fun personality with a positive attitude and is able to demonstrate out of the box thinking.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts


• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.


• Holidays and short breaks


• Walks in the local park and community


• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans


• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required


• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing


• Support activities, appointments, and community access


• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
