Job summary

CareTech is seeking a dedicated Support Worker - Driver in Walsall to deliver person-centred support, assist with daily living skills and personal care, and promote independence and wellbeing. You will help with appointments and community access while maintaining accurate records as part of a supportive team.

Applicants should have experience in a supported living environment, be willing to pursue Health & Social qualifications, and be able to work unsociable hours on a rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Supported Living Environment is essential.
• Willingness to work towards Health & Social Qualification.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Drivers essential (Manual Driver).
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Support Worker - Driver

Location: Walsall
Rate: £12.79 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week

About the Service – Rushall Day Centre

Rushall Day Centre is a service that is open Monday – Friday and supports Service Users with Learning and Physical Disability. We are looking for someone who is a team player, has a fun personality with a positive attitude and is able to demonstrate out of the box thinking.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
