CareTech is hiring a Support Worker for a maternity-cover, full-time role in Walsall. The position involves delivering person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. You will assist with daily living, promote independence, and participate in community activities.

The role requires a compassionate, reliable candidate able to work a rota including evenings and sleep-ins, with DBS clearance and willingness to pursue NVQ Level 2.

Support Worker (Maternity Cover)

Location: Walsall
Rate: £12.79 per hour + £7.83 per hour sleep-in

Temporary (Maternity Cover) | Full time | 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service – Westminster Road

Westminster road is a supported living environment which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music. There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:
