Job summary

Greenhous High Ercall is seeking an organised Driver Planner to coordinate daily driver schedules, deliveries and collections. You will work closely with drivers, dealerships and internal teams to ensure efficient vehicle movements and timely planning.

The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 42.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in driver planning, transport planning, logistics or a similar coordination role.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Good geographical knowledge and the ability to plan efficient routes.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers and colleagues.
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems to maintain records and update schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily driver schedules, vehicle deliveries and collections.
• Allocate work to drivers, ensuring routes and schedules are organised efficiently.
• Coordinate vehicle movements between dealerships, customer locations and other sites as required.
• Liaise with drivers to communicate schedules, instructions and any changes to planned movements.
• Monitor progress throughout the day and respond to delays, cancellations or unexpected changes.
• Work closely with internal departments to prioritise vehicle movements and meet business requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, driver allocations, deliveries and collections.
• Update internal systems and ensure relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
• Ensure drivers have the information and documentation required to complete their duties.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and make the best use of available driver resources.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Carry out any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the business.
