Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Doncaster is seeking a Driver's Mate to support our drivers in delivering goods safely and on time. This permanent, full-time role involves coordinating loading, assisting with unloading, and keeping customers updated.

The role also requires good organisational skills, basic maths, and the ability to work as part of a busy transport team; previous Driver's Mate experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Physically fit for manual handling
• Experience with volume orders
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage workload
• Able to perform simple maths calculations
• Driver's Mate experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate picking and loading of goods onto the vehicle prior to delivery
• Assist driver with unloading deliveries at premises or homes
• Keep customers informed on delivery progress
• Stay in touch with transport team to report problems
• Complete relevant processes on an electronic handheld device
