Job summary

Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living in Glasgow is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a friendly individual living independently in the North Glasgow area (G22). The role involves home support, accompaniment to appointments, personal care, dog care, and practical mobility assistance with wheelchair transfers.

A driver with a clean licence is preferred and a good sense of humour helps. Hours typically Monday to Friday with shifts around 5 hours, plus a flexible 6th hour weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable around dogs.
• Driver with a full clean driving licence.
• Comfortable providing physical assistance when required.
• Willing to engage in music and conversations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting me around the home with light household duties
• Accompanying me to hospital appointments when required
• Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
• Helping care for my small dog, including occasional walks
• Providing practical physical support, including wheelchair transfers and helping lift or move items on days when fatigue or dizziness make things more difficult
• Being a friendly and reliable presence who understands that good support is about teamwork, flexibility and respect
