Job summary

Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant to provide personal care and social support to a 16-year-old boy in the Knightswood/Clydebank area.

The role includes after-school hours (4-9pm) for five hours per week, with potential extra daytime hours during school holidays. A driver with a clean licence is preferred, and training will be provided to learn tasks such as peg feeding and the hoist, with scope for a long-term commitment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn on the job; training provided for care tasks.
• Preferably a driver with a clean licence.
• Previous care experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and social support to a 16-year-old boy.
• Work 5 hours per week on one weekday after school (4–9pm) with potential extra hours in school holidays.
• Assist with tasks such as peg feeding and use of hoist as trained by GCIL.
