Job summary

Marlborough Highways Group is seeking General Operatives/Drivers to join the Windsor and Maidenhead works team. You will work with Foremans and Supervisors to carry out safe, effective operations.

Responsibilities include manual excavation, material handling, barriers setup, and forklift deliveries with training provided. A 7.5 Tonne licence or HGV, plus a driving licence, are preferred; CSCS beneficial.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7.5 Tonne licence; HGV preferred.
• Winter Maintenance qualification preferred.
• Team player and eager to learn.
• Driving licence with access to a vehicle beneficial.
• Experience in highways sector would be beneficial.
• CSCS card would be beneficial.

We are on the search for General Operatives/Drivers to work with our new team carrying out works in Windsor and Maidenhead.

As an integral part of our team you will work alongside our Foremans and Supervisors with the rest of the team to ensure we carry out our works safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Shovelling and excavating by hand
• Lifting, carrying materials
• Setting up pedestrian barriers
• Attending training including competence related safety training, induction, start of work briefings (including SSRA & RAMS briefings) and refreshers applying those learned safe working skills in the workplace.
• Picking up and delivering products using a forklift (training given)
• Trained to operate handheld tools (disc cutter, Whackers)
• General housekeeping -keeping yard open space, internal storage area clean and tidy free from hazards

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 7.5 Tonne Licence but HGV Preferred
• Winter Maintenance Qualification Preferred
• Ability to work well in a team and willing to learn
• Driving license with access to a vehicle would be beneficial
• Prior experience in the highways sector would be beneficial
• CSCS card would be beneficial
