Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a driver based in Gerrards Cross to operate waste collection routes. The role involves hauling waste containers, performing routine vehicle checks, and ensuring accurate data entry and paperwork daily.

The position requires a Class 2 (Cat C) licence, an up-to-date CPC, and a Digi/Tachograph Card. Night/early starts and overtime may apply as part of a large regional fleet's operations.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date CPC.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and operate waste collection vehicles.
• Lift bins of all weights and sizes.
• Complete daily vehicle checks as per driver operator handbook.
• Input all information into the onboard system and keep paperwork up to date and submitted daily.
• Comply with traffic laws and load security requirements.
• Keep carriageways clean and promptly clean up any spillages.

Job description

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

Essential

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up to date CPC
• Digi/Tachograph Card

Desirable

• Roro, Skip and Dustcart experience would be a distinct advantage
• Experience in Waste Management

Salary: £43,023.22 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Paid weekly £5.00 daily meal allowance Enhanced allowances are available for night shifts and single person routes where eligibility criteria are met Hours: 48 Hours per week. Varied start times between 02:00 - 04:00 am. Finishing times may vary on occasion, so some flexibility is required. Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work required.
