Job summary

Veolia UK in Cambridge is seeking a Class 2 licensed driver to join our waste collection teams. You will drive to planned locations, lift and empty containers, and perform daily vehicle checks, with a 48-hour week, 4am starts and a weekend rota.

The position offers a salary of £44,744.15 per annum plus Veolia benefits and weekly pay, plus a £5 daily meal allowance and other health and financial wellbeing perks.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Up to date CPC / Digi card.
• A can do attitude and strong time management skills.
• Being a team player is key to ensuring our collections run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes.
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily.
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads.
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up.

Single person allowance £41.16 per day - when you complete over 110 bins (allocated on trade / RCV routes only)
