Job summary

Cencora is seeking an LGV 7.5T Driver Class 3 at the Swansea Service Centre to support Alliance Healthcare in Europe. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:00–17:00, with a rate of £15.30 per hour.

You will deliver assembled products and invoices, maintain vehicle safety, and comply with tachograph laws and SOPs. The position emphasizes route planning, customer service, and health & safety compliance.

Qualifications

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• Certificate of Professional Competence and electronic tachograph experience
• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive attitude to Customer care and service
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy
• Conscientious with excellent attendance and time keeping history
• Prepared to do light manual handling duties

Responsibilities

• To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines.
• To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To perform daily vehicle safety checks (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
• To report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To abide by tachograph laws and ensure rests are taken.
• To ensure all Proof of Deliveries are delivered and report shortages.
• To collect goods returned from external customers as instructed by transport staff.
• To maintain vehicle cleanliness and condition.
• To ensure sufficient fuel for the day.
• To maintain security of the vehicle and contents.
• To check orders on dropsheets and ensure loading accuracy.
• To log trailer seal numbers and report damages.
• To maintain a smart appearance and good customer relations.
• To communicate effectively with transport staff and be involved in other duties as defined by Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Job Scope

To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To abide by all tacho-graph laws and ensure daily/weekly rests are taken as required
• Ensure all Proof of Deliveries listed on drop sheets have been delivered to customers and report any shortages to the transport department before leaving the customer.
• Upon receipt of collection request, collect goods returned from external customers as instructed by the transport staff.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• Ensure all trailer seal numbers are logged before departure and before opening at the service centre or external customer.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To maintain at all times good communications with the transport staff based at the service centre.
• To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Additional Information

Drivers are required to maintain a smart appearance due to their constant interaction with external customers.

All staff are required to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher.
