Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Delivery Driver 3.5T in Sittingbourne. You will deliver plumbing and heating supplies within an 80 mile radius, perform vehicle checks and assist in the warehouse when needed.

The role runs 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00 with some flexibility. A full clean UK driving licence and good communication skills are essential, with a team-oriented approach valued.

Qualifications

• Full clean UK driving licence is required.
• Multidrop driving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and PDA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing and heating supplies with a 3.5T van within ~80 miles of the branch.
• Handle 10–30 deliveries daily, including new builds and residential sites.
• Carry out vehicle checks.

As a Delivery Driver 3.5t based in Sittingbourne you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within a 80 mile radius of the branch.

• The number of deliveries will vary day to day from 10 - 30 mainly to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses.

• Carrying out vehicle checks.

• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators toilets and sinks.

• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00am - 4:00pm (with flexibility). No weekend work required.

• Full clean UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Previous multidrop driving is preferred.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.
