Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited, through Plumb Centre in Sittingbourne, is seeking a Delivery Driver 3.5T to join our branch team. You will deliver plumbing and heating supplies within an 80 mile radius, with 10–30 drops daily and perform vehicle checks.

This permanent, 40-hour/week role runs Monday to Friday 07:00–16:00 with some flexibility and no weekend work. We offer a competitive salary plus bonus, pension, generous annual leave and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Previous multidrop driving is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.
• Team player and willing to assist in the warehouse to ensure smooth branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within an 80 mile radius of the branch.
• Make 10–30 deliveries per day to construction sites, residential customers and other businesses.
• Carry out vehicle checks and loading/unloading of deliveries (heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks).
• Assist in the warehouse when not on deliveries with unloading stock, picking/packing orders, and stock checks.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly within a 80 mile radius of the branch.
• The number of deliveries will vary day to day from 10 - 30 mainly to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators toilets and sinks.
• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00am - 4:00pm (with flexibility). No weekend work required.
