Job summary

Stepnell in Rugby is seeking an energetic Driver Labourer to join the Plant & Fleet team. You’ll be a key player, supporting maintenance, logistics, yard work and site operations in a fast-paced environment. A full UK driving licence is essential, along with hands-on Labouring experience and a proactive, can-do mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections of equipment and goods; load and check for damages.
• Provide operational support to maintenance and repair operatives.
• Keep yard, vehicles and equipment clean, safe and organized.
• Carry out general site housekeeping and light manual tasks.
• Safely operate plant and machinery (training provided).
• Maintain high health and safety standards.

Are you an energetic team player with a "can-do" attitude and a full UK driving licence?

We are looking for a reliable and flexible Driver Labourer to join our Plant & Fleet team in Rugby.

In this varied role, you won't just be behind the wheel—you’ll be a key team player supporting maintenance, equipment logistics, yard upkeep, and general site operations. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where no two days are quite the same, this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Deliveries & Collections: Identify, check, and load equipment/goods for site delivery. Record returns accurately, checking for damages/shortages and cleaning equipment ready for re-hire.
• Operational Support: Act as a "second pair of hands" for maintenance and repair operatives on various tasks.
• Yard & Fleet Care: Keep vehicles, equipment, and yard areas clean, safe, and organized at all times. Prepare vehicles for collection or delivery following servicing or staff allocation.
• Site Support & Labouring: Carry out general site housekeeping and low-level manual tasks as needed.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate plant and mechanical equipment (certified training will be provided as necessary).
• Safety & Standards: Maintain high health, safety, and welfare standards for yourself and your colleagues while constantly striving for high service quality.

What We Are Looking For

• Driving Experience: A valid Full UK Driving Licence with regional driving experience and the ability to route-plan effectively.
• Hands-on Background: Previous experience carrying out general labouring tasks and loading/handling equipment.
• Positive Attitude: A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable approach with a true "can-do" mindset.
• Key Skills: Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, good communication, and a customer-focused approach.
