Job summary

Wolseley Group in Measham is seeking a Delivery Driver (18T) to join our UK team. You will deliver a wide range of items to various addresses on a 45-hour week, with a focus on service excellence and safety.

The role requires a full Class 2 HGV licence, knowledge of digital tachographs, and Driver CPC. You will engage with customers and suppliers to uphold Wolseley's reputation as a trusted trade partner.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date knowledge of digital tachographs.
• Driver CPC.
• Experience with digital technology (e.g. handheld devices).
• Confident in interacting with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items to various addresses via planned routes.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to be a positive Wolseley ambassador.
• Carry out daily vehicle, equipment and load checks for health and safety and report defects.
• Collaborate with the transport team and transport administration.
• Assist with loading and unloading at customer premises when required.

As a HGV Driver based in Measham you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Offering excellent Customer Service at all time
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring they are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Working well within the transport team, including relating to the driving team and the transport administration
• Unloading and loading on customers’ premises, where required

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

• A full, Class 2 HGV licence

• Experience of using, or comfortable with learning, digital technology, i.e. handheld devices.
