Veolia is hiring a driver in London to join our fleet and support essential community services. The role requires a valid driving licence and a Class 2 licence, with duties including waste removal, loading and unloading, and operating Veolia vehicles after training.

You will work within a supportive team, follow health and safety procedures, and maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with the public and colleagues. Veolia offers training and development, pension, and wellbeing resources.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake removal of waste and bulky items from domestic/commercial premises and highway.
• Return containers to collection points, ensure lids/doors are secured.
• Clear any waste spillage at time of collection and leave site litter free.
• Comply with site rules and Health & Safety procedures.
• Drive Veolia vehicles after appropriate training and adhere to road traffic laws.
• Complete vehicle defect checks and report damages to supervisor.
• Keep cab and vehicle clean and tidy at end of shift.
• Maintain courteous and professional relations with the public, clients and colleagues.

All drivers will need to collect vehicles from either Landmann Way, London SE14 5RL or Alperton Central Depot, Marsh Road, Wembley HA0 1ES before heading into the city for work.

What you'll be doing;

• Undertake the removal of waste, bulky items and Sweeper's sacks from domestic and commercial premises and the Highway. Waste may be loose or in bags, bin, wheeled bins, Paladin and Euro-bin containers and any other container.
• Ensure that containers are returned to the collection point, lids replaced, doors and gates closed.
• Ensure that any spillage of waste is cleared at the time of collection to leave the site litter free.
• When entering premises, comply with any site rules and Health & Safety procedures
• Drive and operate any vehicle supplied by Veolia, after receiving the relevant training.
• Comply with all road traffic legislation in relation to your duties including parking restriction, security and weight of loads. The Company operates a zero tolerance on overweight vehicles.
• At the commencement of each shift and prior to leaving the depot, ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition. Complete the appropriate forms (Vehicle Defects books) and report any damages found to your working foreman or Manager.
• At the end of the shift, ensure that the tipper is left empty and that the cab is clean and clear of litter, uniform and personal effects.
• Report locations of any fly-tipping, graffiti, fly posting damaged/missing litter bins and waste containers.
• Ensure that all completed work is detailed in an accurate and legible manner on your daily worksheet before handed in to your Foreman or Manager
• Perform duties in an efficient and effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity. Ensure that the tasks are completed to schedule. Any discrepancies are to be reported immediately to your Foreman or manager.
• Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public, client staff and colleagues
