Job summary
Groundforce is hiring a Driver/Technician to join our depot team. You will handle receipt, preparation, testing and despatch of equipment, and also deliver, demonstrate, and collect specialist gear for customers and suppliers within the Vp Group.
You will ensure safe, professional and on-time operations while supporting strong customer service reputation. A hands-on role combining maintenance, driving, and customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Numeracy and literacy skills.
- Knowledge of the local area.
- Ability to maintain and check equipment effectively.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, demonstrate, and collect equipment safely and professionally.
- Liaise with sales and depot teams to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain and service all equipment to minimum quality standards.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Keep the depot organised, clean, and secure.
- Complete all start and finish of hire documentation accurately and on time.
- Identify potential new customers or sites and alert your line manager.
