About the role:

Inspect and analyse client files, original legal documents, and accounting material. Make collections from clients and attend solicitor's offices to collect boxes of documents.

Key Details:
  • Pay: £12.21 per hour, Weekly
  • Location: Coventry CV6
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Purpose:

To receive and process files/documents recovered from solicitors following the SRA's intervention into a firm of solicitors. To receive and process requests for files/documents which may be held in the SRA's intervention Archive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and analyse client files, original legal documents, and accounting material recovered from Interventions - index onto database - as per procedures
  • Receive, assess, and acknowledge incoming documentation and direct appropriately
  • Log incoming post onto our in-house database and create physical files
  • Link incoming documents to existing applications and update records
  • Interrogate databases and spreadsheets to locate information regarding interventions, requests, files, and documents
  • Determine ownership of files and documents and the authority needed for the release
  • Sift files and redact documents prior to release
  • Handle incoming calls and emails from clients and solicitors, provide case updates, and explain actions needed
  • Chase information and keep clients updated
  • Support the intervention process
  • Drive a van and attend third-party sites to collect/deliver files
  • Assist with loading and unloading boxes and files
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment safely
  • Maintain accurate records and logbooks
  • Sort files and maintain filing systems
  • Observe confidentiality and comply with Health & Safety guidelines
  • Support the Team Leader and perform additional tasks as needed
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and general IT systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
  • Organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team
  • Manual handling experience and awareness of health and safety risks
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing hours
