Pay and Hours

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate starts from £12.92 per hour; increases to £14.05 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week for new colleagues, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). Your shifts will be scheduled with 3 weeks' notice, and we support flexibility in your availability.

Customer Focus

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver to customers' homes across the region. This role involves more than driving: it’s about providing excellent service, helping others, and delivering with a smile.

No two shifts are the same. You will be responsible for delivering customer orders, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, communicating with customers about their deliveries, and ensuring products are handled with care.

You will be responsible for:

• Keeping the van and trays clean and organized
• Ensuring the delivery environment is tidy and litter-free
• Washing trays as needed
• Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness
• Communicating with customers about their orders and substitutions
• Delivering within the scheduled time slots
• Calling customers before early arrivals and stores if running late

You will need:

• Build positive relationships with colleagues

• Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change
• Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations
• Share ideas for store improvements
• A valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
