Job summary

Speedy Group based in Gloucester is seeking a Delivery Driver (3.5t) to join our hire fleet. You will drive a 3.5 ton flatbed van and deliver equipment around the local area, serving as the face of our business and representing our values.

We offer flexible hours, including job shares and weekend/holiday availability, with overtime and progression opportunities. A valid driving licence and PTS are required; other site safety training and DBS checks may be needed.

Qualifications

• Possess a driving license and be able to assist trained rail engineers during weekends to support various jobs on track, such as setting out our sight lighting and operating our clipping machines.
• Flexibility and availability on weekends and holidays (visibility at least 4 weeks in advance to allow planning).
• Reliability.
• Pass their PTS (Personal Track Safety).
• Attend product familiarisation training at their local Rail depot.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hire equipment using a 3.5 ton flatbed van around the local Gloucester area.
• Be the face of our business and represent Speedy’s values on site.
• Support the Rail division on weekends and holidays as required.

Days of work - Mon - Fri

Times - 07:30 - 17:00, 42 hours per week

Salary £29,572 Per annum, pro rata

Based in Gloucester, the role of Delivery Driver is a busy and productive role. You will be driving a 3.5 ton flatbed van delivering hire equipment around the local area. This role is vital to our operation; you will be the face of our business and a representation of our vision, mission and values.

Requirements:

• Possess a driving license and be able to assist trained rail engineers during weekends to support various jobs on track, such as setting out our sight lighting and operating our clipping machines.
• Flexibility and availability on weekends and holidays (visibility at least 4 weeks in advance to allow planning).
• Reliability.
• Pass their PTS (Personal Track Safety).
