Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc in Cardiff is seeking a 3.5 ton Driver to deliver and collect hire equipment from customer sites, operating Mon-Fri 07:30-17:00, with flexible hours and pro rata salary £29,572 per annum.

You will perform vehicle checks, load/unload gear, and maintain high standards of safety and customer service while working with the depot team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK driving licence with towing.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Responsible approach to driving and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and keeping vehicle clean and roadworthy.
• Loading and unloading equipment safely.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional representation.
• Work closely with depot team to ensure smooth deliveries and collections.

Days of work - Mon - Fri, Times - 07:30 - 17:00, 42 hours per week

Based in Cardiff, as a 3.5ton Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting hire equipment from customers and sites, ensuring every delivery is completed safely, efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites and businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
• Loading and unloading equipment safely and securely.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Speedy Hire professionally.
• Working closely with the depot team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly.
