Job summary

InHealth Group is seeking a part-time Driver to support the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP) across Staffordshire and Shropshire. You will move DESP equipment between venues, handle delicate kit with care and maintain clean vehicle records before and after shifts.

Role requires a full clean driving licence and van driving experience, with a start date in early January. Excellent time management and safety awareness are essential to build strong relations with programme teams and venue

Job description

This Driver post with InHealth Group supports its Diabetic Eye Screening Programme work, covering screening clinics across Staffordshire and Shropshire. The job centres on moving DESP equipment between programme sites and collecting it afterwards, with careful handling of delicate kit in transit. It is a part-time role of 22.5 hours a week, and the post holder will build working relationships with the programme team and venue providers. A full clean driving licence and van driving experience are needed, with a start date of Monday 4 January.

What the job involves

• Transport equipment to and from designated screening locations
• Keep vehicle and equipment secure at all times
• Look after the vehicle, including refuelling, cleaning and basic maintenance
• Handle delicate equipment carefully when loading, unloading and in transit
• Confirm receipt of schedules with programme managers
• Complete mileage records, vehicle checks and timesheets
• Resolve issues as they arise, working with programme management
• Build good relationships with the DESP team and venue providers
• Wear ID badge at all times
• Display laminated delivery signs in the vehicle window when parked at venues
• Park so as not to block access for pedestrians or other road users
• Drive in line with the Highway Code and UK law
