Job summary

Nuffield Health is hiring a 7.5 Tonne Driver in Warwick to join the Hospital Sterile Services Unit. The role involves delivering sterile equipment to hospital sites, using planned routes with limited drops per shift, and maintaining professional service levels.

The ideal candidate holds a C1 entitlement and a tachograph card; CPC training is advantageous. Training will be provided, with enhancements for unsocial hours and overtime per policy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver sterile surgical equipment to hospital customers.
• Operate planned delivery routes with up to four deliveries/collections per shift.
• Provide a professional, reliable, customer-focused service.
• Maintain vehicles and report faults promptly.
• Keep tachograph records and transport documentation accurate.
• Adhere to shift times; shifts between 4am and 9pm, Mon–Fri with Saturday variation.

Warwick HSSU Hub | Sterile Services Unit | Permanent | Full Time | From £25,800 based on 37.5 hours, enhancements for unsocial hours, overtime paid at 50% depending on experience 37.5 hours per week

Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network.

If you hold a full driving licence with C1 entitlement, allowing you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), and possess a digital tachograph card, you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UK's largest Healthcare Charity.

A full Driver Qualification Card (CPC - Certificate of Professional Competence) is advantageous; however, full training and support are available for the right candidate.

As a Driver, your duties will include:

• Collect and deliver sterile surgical equipment to our hospital customers.
• Operate planned delivery routes with a maximum of four customer deliveries/collections per shift.
• Provide a professional, reliable, and customer-focused service.
• Keep vehicles and equipment in good working order and report any faults or defects promptly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy working environment and identify any stock issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and transport documentation.
• Be flexible with working hours. Shifts operate between 4am and 9pm, Monday to Friday, with varying start and finish times on Saturdays.
