Job summary

Nuffield Health Eastleigh HSSU Hub is seeking a Driver to join our Hospital Sterile Services team on a permanent full-time basis. You will collect and deliver to local hospitals, driving 7.5T vehicles, with a full UK driving licence (C1) and ideally a tachograph card.

Shifts run from 3am to 10pm, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday changes. This role involves manual handling up to 250kg, maintaining tachograph records, and delivering excellent customer service as the first point of contact for

Qualifications

• Manual handling of items up to 250kg.
• Knowledge of current driver hour legislation is desirable.
• Tachograph card preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver by van or car to customers, driving 7.5T vehicles.
• Receive and check deliveries of medical devices from customers.
• Help keep equipment in good working order and report faults.
• Keep a clean, tidy work environment and identify stock issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and documentation.
• Be flexible with working hours; shifts 3am–10pm, Mon–Fri with varying Saturdays.

Job description

As a Driver on our Eastleigh HSSU Hub team, you're comfortable with manual handling and happy to move transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. As well as a basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation, you ideally hold a driver digital tachograph card. You'll be a great ambassador for our unit and our customers' first point of contact.
Eastleigh HSSU Hub | Sterile Services | Permanent contract | Full time | Up to £25,799 per annum 37.5 hours per week Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit Eastleigh transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network.
