Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a 7.5 tonne driver for the HSSU Warwick hub. This bank-contract role involves delivering sterile surgical equipment to hospital sites, with up to four stops per shift and a focus on professional customer service.

Shifts run between 4am and 9pm, Monday to Friday, with varying Saturday start times. Training is provided; CPC is advantageous and a digital tachograph card is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with C1 entitlement (up to 7.5 tonnes GVW).
• CPC qualification advantageous; training provided.
• Able to move heavy equipment and comply with tachograph rules.

7.5 tonne Driver Warwick HSSU Hub | Sterile Services | Bank Contract | £12.84 per hour

Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network. If you hold a full driving licence with C1 entitlement, allowing you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), and possess a digital tachograph card, you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UK's largest Healthcare Charity.

A full Driver Qualification Card (CPC - Certificate of Professional Competence) is advantageous; however, full training and support are available for the right candidate.

As a Driver within our HSSU team, you'll be comfortable with manual handling and moving transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. You'll have a basic knowledge of drivers' hours legislation, working time directive and ideally hold a digital tachograph card. As one of the first points of contact for our customers, you'll be a professional ambassador for both our unit and Nuffield Health.

As a Driver, your duties will include:

• Collect and deliver sterile surgical equipment to our hospital customers.
• Operate planned delivery routes with a maximum of four customer deliveries/collections per shift.
• Provide a professional, reliable, and customer-focused service.
• Keep vehicles and equipment in good working order and report any faults or defects promptly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy working environment and identify any stock issues as they arise.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and transport documentation.
• Be flexible with working hours. Shifts operate between 4am and 9pm, Monday to Friday, with varying start and finish times on Saturdays.
