Job summary

UEL Transport is responsible for the safe and compliant movement of UHS/UEL Supplies across hospitals and clinics. The role includes transporting staff to work, mail, parcels and essential clinical materials between sites.

You will perform daily vehicle maintenance checks, report any defects to the Transport Supervisor, and ensure operations comply with the Road Traffic Act. A full driving licence is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Experience with daily vehicle checks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all transport duties as per schedule or as directed by Head Driver.
• Transport staff to and from place of work and move mail, parcels, and supplies between hospitals, medical centres and practices.
• Ship bloods, pharmacy items, linen, specimens, clinical equipment and food as required.
• Carry out daily vehicle maintenance checks and report defects to Transport Supervisor.

1. Undertake all transport duties as per the schedule or as directed by the Head Driver. This includes all or any transporting of:- Staff to and from place of work. Mail and parcels to various Hospitals, Medical Centres and Practices. The shipment of bloods, pharmacy, linen, specimens, clinical equipment and food.
2. Daily maintenance checks of vehicles, as per driver instruction sheets and to report any defects to the Transport Supervisor.
3. Ensure, at all times, that the vehicle is driven within the requirements of the Road Traffic Act.
4. Carry out all duties in a helpful and courteous manner. You will require a full driving licence.
