We are currently recruiting a dedicated Driver to ensure smooth operations at universities on a full-time basis, contracted for 37.5 hours per week. As a Driver, you will use your skills to maintain high standards of quality work. Key Responsibilities:

• Participate effectively in a team of drivers serving local health service premises
• Observe all regulations related to vehicle operation and safety
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects or accidents immediately
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior
• Respect confidentiality regarding Trust and patient information
• Sort mail, and deliver specimens, blood, pharmacy items, food, CSSD, and other items accurately and promptly
• Communicate compassionately with terminally ill, disabled, and bereaved individuals at their homes
• Deliver, install, and demonstrate use of medical equipment, including bath hoists and devices
• Work according to schedules, prioritizing urgent requests for blood, drugs, and other medical items
• Represent the Trust professionally to service users and the public

Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a full, clean UK driving license (provisional licenses are not accepted)
• Is passionate about customer care and effective communication
• Can work under pressure both independently and as part of a team
• Is confident working in a hospital environment, capable of interacting with unwell or distressed patients
• Has a proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a customer-focused approach
• Will undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service check (costs covered by employer)
