Job summary

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver (part time) to provide safe transport for students to and from sports fixtures, educational visits and other academy activities in Leeds. The postholder will also perform daily vehicle inspections and assist with minibus cleaning while supporting supervision of students as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and efficient transport for students to and from sports fixtures, educational visits and academy activities.
  • Carry out daily vehicle inspections and support routine minibus cleaning.
  • Assist with supervision of young people whilst travelling when required.
  • Work flexibly to support the needs of the Academy and contribute to a team environment.

The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to recruit a reliable and committed colleague to the role of Minibus Driver. This is an important role within the Academy, with the successful candidate responsible for providing safe and efficient transport for students to and from sports fixtures, educational visits, trips and other academy activities. The postholder will also undertake daily vehicle inspections, support the routine cleaning of minibuses and, where required, assist with the supervision of young people whilst travelling.

We are looking for an individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism and reliability, and who can work flexibly to support the needs of the Academy. The successful candidate will be able to remain calm under pressure, manage their time effectively and contribute positively as part of a wider team.

Potential applicants should have:
  • A full clean driving licence including D1.
  • High levels of concentration.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work.
