Job summary

Breedon Group seeks a Driver to support our Hardcrete division at the Luton Concrete Plant. You will deliver materials locally, liaise with Distribution daily, and be the face of the business in the community. Monday to Friday with potential Saturday mornings, your role reports to the Transport Manager and emphasises safety and customer service.

Ideal candidates hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence and possess strong communication skills to build relationships with customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2/C licence and clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials locally from the Luton Concrete Plant to customers.
• Coordinate with Distribution and Transport Manager to plan routes.

Description

We are currently looking for a Driver to support our Hardcrete business at our Luton Concrete Plant, Bedfordshire.

This role will report directly to the Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, within our recently acquired Hardcrete division you’ll never be treated like just a number. You’ll liaise with your colleagues in Distribution every day and because we work locally, you’ll be speaking to the same people and be able to use your local knowledge to get the order delivered safely and efficiently!

You’ll be an ideal fit for this position if you enjoy building relationships and have a great sense of humour.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• A HGV Class 2/Class C licence
• Good communication skills

As a Driver in our Hardcrete division, you’ll be working locally and be the face of our business. You’ll be working Monday to Friday with core working hours of 7:00am to 4:30pm, although occasionally we may need you to finish a bit later and you will be rota’d to cover occasional Saturday morning’s.
