Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Avonmouth team supporting Greene King. This full-time, permanent role involves 46 hours per week with ~9.2 hours daily starting around 05:00, across Monday to Friday, with Bank Holidays included. Salary is £40,031.47 per year, plus benefits and development opportunities.

You will perform vehicle checks, deliver drinks, unload stock, handle city routing, and complete required paperwork ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and ability to work on your initiative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure road readiness.
• Deliver kegs and small-pack products for Greene King Drinks.
• Unload stock from cages during deliveries.
• Navigate busy city routes and challenging parking situations.
• Complete paperwork accurately to facilitate smooth operations.

The role is full-time and permanent, working 46 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The start time is approximately 05:00, with contracted hours of 9.2 hours per day.

Please note that the working pattern includes Bank Holidays.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Conduct thorough pre and post-shift checks of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition
• Delivering kegs and small-pack products on the Greene King Drinks side of the business
• Unload stock from cages during deliveries
• Navigate busy city routes while handling challenging parking situations
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork to facilitate smooth and efficient operations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
