Job Description:
Job Purpose:
- To deliver accurate M&E ACAD drawings throughout the contract region.
- Represent EMCOR as the key point of contact for all relevant stakeholders associated with Drawing Office & Document requests.
- Under limited supervision, operate CAD systems to produce complex drawings supporting Engineering projects in critical environments.
- Custodian of Customer UK Technical Libraries: Implement a fully integrated life-cycle management process for Equipment files and data, deployed consistently across the account.
Duties:
- Interface with EMCOR and customer staff to produce engineering drawing packages and control quality of space drawings.
- Provide progress reports and escalate issues to the Workplace Manager.
- Conduct site surveys to prepare high-quality drawings.
- Update records and create new drawings from sketches and specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD 3D tools.
- Maintain documentation library for compliance and record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with EMCOR, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
- Develop controls for subcontractor performance.
- Document work to ensure accuracy and traceability, following Good Documentation Practices.
- Review manuals, liaise with engineering teams, and prepare reports.
- Lead and manage client interactions, set expectations, and foster relationships.
- Coordinate with GxP teams and manage project information.
- Support projects, review manuals, and communicate issues to project managers.
- Assist in audits and performance reviews.
- Attend meetings, suggest process improvements, and lead teams.
- Follow safety legislation, report HSE issues, and promote safety practices.
- Perform tasks as requested by clients or management and uphold EMCOR's reputation.
Person Specification:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- AutoCAD (version 2013+) user with 3D knowledge, preferably Autodesk Building Design Suite.
- Diploma or Degree in a related field or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance areas.
- Experience with Drawing Office software applications.
- Understanding of building services and project management procedures.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
- Ability to initiate processes and procedures.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Additional related degree or diploma.
