Job summary

Catering, based in Pickering, North Yorkshire, is looking for an experienced shop floor operative to run CAD designs for customer approval and manage revisions on the laser and punch systems. The role involves creating nests, manufacturing drawings, loading materials, and keeping the machines well maintained.

The job is 39 hours per week, temporary to permanent, with a rate of £13.66 per hour and opportunities to contribute to new product development alongside senior engineers during busy

Qualifications

• Temporary position, 39 hours per week.
• Experience with CAD design and manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to load materials and operate laser/punch machinery.

• Look after the running of the laser and the punch
• Sharpening of tools for the punch
• General housekeeping of the punch and laser
• Loading and unloading of material
• Assisting production at busy times
• Communicate with external service engineers in relation to the punch and laser
• Setting power presses
• General maintenance of factory machinery
• General assistance to the Senior engineer

• Create nest for the laser and punch
• Generally, look after the running of the laser and the punch
• Sharpening of tools for the punch
• General housekeeping of the punch and laser
• Loading and unloading of material
• Helping develop new products using press brakes and general factory machinery
• Assisting production at busy times
• Communicate with external service engineers in relation to the punch and laser
• Setting power presses
• General maintenance of factory machinery
• General assistance to the Senior engineer

Salary: £13.66/hour
