Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a passionate Drama Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Chelmsford, starting ASAP on long-term or flexible supply.

You will deliver engaging Drama lessons across a range of year groups, planning to develop students' confidence, creativity and performance skills while upholding high standards of behaviour and inclusion. The role offers supportive leadership and a collaborative department.

Qualifications

• Proof of Right to Work in the UK (e.g., passport or birth certificate).
• CV covering 10 years of education or employment.
• Fully enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to process one (costs refunded).

Responsibilities

• Teaching Drama across a range of secondary year groups.
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative and challenging Drama lessons.
• Encouraging students to develop their confidence, creativity and performance skills.
• Supporting students to develop both practical and theoretical knowledge of Drama.
• Following the school's existing curriculum and schemes of work.
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, effort and achievement.
• Building positive relationships with students and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school.
