Job summary

Ipsum is seeking a CCTV Drainage Technician to operate from our CCTV vans and Jet Vac vehicles across commercial, residential, industrial sites. You will carry out surveys, assess pipe conditions, analyse results and produce high-quality reports for varying clients.

You’ll follow Health & Safety guidelines, work with Engineers on site, and be flexible for early starts, weekends and out-of-hours shifts as we provide 24/7 coverage across the UK.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence is essential.
• Qualifications such as Confined Space Level 2, High-Pressure Water Jetting, CSCS, and First Aid at Work are desirable.
• Strong Health and Safety awareness and excellent communication are key.

Responsibilities

• Carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems and produce high-quality reports.
• Work with Jetting Units as required and support Engineers on site.
• Follow Health and Safety, Quality and Environment guidelines and report incidents.
• Be flexible for 24/7 operations, including early starts, weekends, and UK-wide out-of-hours work.

About The Role…

Working from one of our custom-equipped CCTV vans or our custom-equipped specialist Jet Vac vehicles, you will visit all types of clients — commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, utility, etc. You will carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems, assess pipe conditions, analyse results, and produce high quality reports. All this in conjunction with our Jetting Units when required, therefore you will be responsible for working safely and efficiently. Follow instructions from the Engineer(s) on site but also work under your own initiative where possible.

As a CCTV Drainage Technician you will…

• Ensure compliance with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.


• Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.


• Ensure all site related incidents are reported.


• Contribute and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalated.


• Work closely with associated Engineers, ensuring all aspects of work are completed on site.


• Contribute towards producing high quality results, reports and feedback.


• Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.


• You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours working across the UK.

About You…

This role will give someone experience in the utilities or drainage sector and using CCTV and jetting equipment such as MiniCam Proteus, Jetvac, or Recycler units.

A full clean driving licence is essential, and qualifications such as Confined Space Level 2, High-Pressure Water Jetting, CSCS, and First Aid at Work are highly desirable. You’ll be working across varied environments, so strong Health and Safety awareness, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, team-focused attitude are key.
