Job summary

Ipsum is recruiting a CCTV Drainage Technician to inspect drainage systems using CCTV and jetting equipment from custom-equipped vans. You will assess pipe conditions, analyse results, and produce detailed reports, while working safely and efficiently on diverse sites.

You will follow site instructions, collaborate with engineers, and adapt to 24/7 operations with early starts, weekends, and UK coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in utilities or drainage sector using CCTV/jetting equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on site and in reports.
• Ability to work across varied environments and with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients in commercial, residential, industrial settings to carry out CCTV surveys.
• Analyse results and produce high-quality reports.
• Coordinate with Jetting Units when required and work safely on site.

About The Role…

Working from one of our custom-equipped CCTV vans or our custom-equipped specialist Jet Vac vehicles, you will visit all types of clients — commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, utility, etc. You will carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems, assess pipe conditions, analyse results, and produce high quality reports. All this in conjunction with our Jetting Units when required, therefore you will be responsible for working safely and efficiently. Follow instructions from the Engineer(s) on site but also work under your own initiative where possible.

As a CCTV Drainage Technician you will…

• Ensure compliance with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.


• Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.


• Ensure all site related incidents are reported.


• Contribute and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalated.


• Work closely with associated Engineers, ensuring all aspects of work are completed on site.


• Contribute towards producing high quality results, reports and feedback.


• Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.


• You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours working across the UK.

About You…

This role will give someone experience in the utilities or drainage sector and using CCTV and jetting equipment such as MiniCam Proteus, Jetvac, or Recycler units.

A full clean driving licence is essential, and qualifications such as Confined Space Level 2, High-Pressure Water Jetting, CSCS, and First Aid at Work are highly desirable. You’ll be working across varied environments, so strong Health and Safety awareness, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, team-focused attitude are key.
