Job summary

Ipsum is seeking a CCTV Drainage Engineer based from our Leicester office to cover UK sites. You will perform CCTV surveys of drainage systems, assess pipe conditions, analyse results and deliver high-quality reports, often in conjunction with Jetting Units.

The role requires experience in utilities or drainage and a full, clean driving licence, with opportunities for after-hours and weekend work as part of a 24/7 operation.

• OS19X (MSCC5 standards) and HGV qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site staff and all related site activity with Project Supervisor.
• Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental compliance on site.
• Adhere to company policies at all times.
• Report all site incidents promptly.
• Coordinate pre‑site planning with Project Supervisor.
• Identify and resolve problems promptly to prevent escalation.
• Manage jetting & CCTV work on site and generate high‑quality reports.

About the role…

Working from one of our custom‑equipped CCTV vans, you will visit all types of clients – commercial, residential, industrial, rail, road, utility, etc. – across the UK. You will carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems, assess pipe conditions, analyse results, and produce high quality reports. All this in conjunction with our Jetting Units when required, therefore you will be responsible for all site activity ensuring the team are working safely and efficiently and ensuring that work is completed within the required timescale.

This is a full‑time permanent role based from our Leicester office.

As a CCTV Drainage Engineer, you will…

• Day to day responsibility for site staff and all associated site activity in conjunction with Project Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance of site staff with respect to Health and Safety, Quality and Environment.
• Ensure Company policies are always adhered to.
• Ensure all site related incidents are reported.
• Work closely with Project Supervisor to ensure work is pre‑sited and pre‑planned when required.
• Identify and react swiftly to resolve problems before they escalation.
• Responsible for all Jetting & CCTV work completed on site.
• Responsible for producing high quality results, reports, and feedback.
• Always establish good relationships and communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.
• You need to be flexible too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out‑of‑hours working across the UK.

About you…

You’ll have experience or qualifications in the Utilities or Drainage industry, along with a full, clean driving licence. Ideally, you’ll also bring relevant certifications such as OS19X (MSCC5 standards), plus HGV qualifications.
