Job summary

Auger is seeking a Drainage & Subsidence Assistant to join our Newcastle team. You will support experienced engineers with repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works across Newcastle and surrounding areas, learning all aspects of the role and subsidence investigations.

The package includes a starting salary of £28,089.10, an annual bonus of ~£2,000–£2,500, a 5.5% pension, 22 days plus 8 bank holidays, and a 42.5 hour week with no on-call.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is essential – we will provide you with all the training you need.
• Some experience of groundworks is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced Engineers to complete a variety of jobs including repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works.
• Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required.
• Learn all aspects of every engineering role at Auger, including how to carry out subsidence investigations.
• Specialise in one area after a year, with the opportunity to progress to Junior Engineer and, with the right development and commitment, a fully qualified Engineer.
• Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ.

Financials

• Starting Salary - £28,089.10

• Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500

• 5.5% Pension Contribution - approx £1484

Overtime

• Optional weekend OT at 1.5x rate eg. 10 days would top up the package to £33,504.53

Working Hours

• 42.5hrs per week, Mon-Fri only &NOon-call work
