Auger is hiring a Drainage & Subsidence Assistant for Chelmsford and surrounding areas. The role includes assisting engineers with repairs, investigations and reinstatement works, with full training provided.

You’ll work across the field team, learn subsidence practices, and have the chance to progress toward a Junior Engineer position. With 42.5 hours per week and a competitive benefits package, Auger supports development and values employees.

We're looking for a Drainage & Subsidence Assistant to join the Auger Team, covering Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. Our total package is worth £31,884.00 without overtime.

Financials

• Starting Salary -£28,089.10

• Annual Bonus - approx£2000 - £2500

• 5.5% Pension Contribution - approx£1484

Overtime

• Optional weekend OT at 1.5x rate eg. 10 days would top up the package to£33,504.53

Working Hours

• 42.5hrs per week, Mon-Fri only &NOon-call work

The Role

• Assist our experienced Engineers to complete a variety of jobs including repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works

• Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required

• Learn all aspects of every engineering role at Auger, including how to carry out subsidence investigations

• Specialise in one area after a year, with the opportunity to progress to Junior Engineer and, with the right development and commitment, a fully qualified Engineer

• Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ

• No previous experience is essential – we will provide you with all the training you need

• Some experience of groundworks or preferable
