Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Drainage Patch Lining & Cutting Engineer to carry out specialist rehabilitation works across drainage networks. Based in Iver, Colnbrook, you will travel with a two-person team, using Picote milling machines and robotic cutters to remove obstructions and perform patch lining repairs.

You will need experience in drainage, sewer rehab or utilities, be mechanically minded, able to interpret CCTV, and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage, sewer rehabilitation or utilities industries.
• Practical use of drainage equipment and mechanical tools.
• Good understanding of drainage and sewer systems.
• Mechanically minded and comfortable operating specialist equipment.
• Able to interpret CCTV footage and identify defects.
• Excellent attention to detail during cutting and lining operations.
• Physically capable of manual and practical work.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong Health & Safety awareness.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Willing to undertake further specialist training when required.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence where required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites in a two-person team using a van and regional travel.
• Repair and maintain drainage systems; install patch liners for first-time repairs.
• Use Picote system to remove obstructions not cleared by water jetting.
• Survey drainage networks and produce reports using specialist equipment.
• Record job reports on equipment and maintain good customer service.
• Maintain Health & Safety practices; PPE and safe site set-ups.
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
• Liaise with clients regarding progress and updates.
• Work unsupervised in all weather conditions with appropriate PPE.
• Dynamically assess site access and working conditions on arrival.
• Provide support to colleagues and inspect tools/equipment before/after use.
• Report defects or malfunctions and conduct risk assessments.
• Adhere to company policies and values.
