Job summary

Glanville Environmental is seeking a Drainage Operative to join our Plympton Depot, delivering sewer cleaning projects across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. You will follow safety protocols, perform vehicle inspections and operate high-pressure jetting equipment to clear drainage systems.

We provide comprehensive training, with potential to train toward a Class 2 HGV license. Qualifications such as PTS, NRSWA and CSCS are advantageous as part of a wider training and career progression program.

Qualifications

• We provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in the role.
• This role could provide the opportunity to train in obtaining a Class 2 HGV vehicle license.
• Holding qualifications such as PTS (City & Guilds) Confined Space Entry, NRSWA (Street works), and a valid CSCS card would also be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
• Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
• Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
• Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
• Implementing appropriate jetting techniques to effectively resolve problems.
