Job summary

Glanville Environmental is seeking a skilled HGV Operator based at our Plympton depot to support sewer cleaning projects across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. The role involves operating Class 2 HGV vehicles, jetting equipment, and diagnosing drainage issues on a variety of sites.

We offer training, enhanced overtime potential, and a benefits package including pension and life cover. A CPC card and relevant certifications improve candidacy for this permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

• CPC driver card is required.
• Experience with high-pressure water jetting or tankering is advantageous.
• PTS Confined Space Entry, NRSWA, and CSCS card would be highly beneficial.
• Training provided to help you succeed in the role.

Responsibilities

• Operating and driving Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Adhering to road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
• Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
• Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
• Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
• Implementing jetting techniques to resolve problems effectively.
