Job summary

Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Drainage Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day coordination and delivery of drainage surveying and remedial works in Hertfordshire.

You will manage client enquiries, prepare quotations, schedule CCTV surveys and remedial engineers, and produce RAMS while maintaining quality and commercial awareness. This role offers autonomy, opportunities to influence operations and a competitive package.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Experience in operational coordination, contracts management or a similar role.
• Confidence preparing quotations and managing costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming client enquiries, assess requirements and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Prepare accurate quotations for drainage surveys and remedial works, including follow-ups and variations.
• Schedule CCTV survey and remedial engineers, managing workloads, priorities and urgent call-outs.
• Produce site-specific RAMS and ensure works are appropriately planned.
• Coordinate materials, plant, permits and site access for remedial projects.
• Liaise with clients, engineers and suppliers to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
• Oversee jobs from initial enquiry through to completion, maintaining quality and commercial awareness.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum + Bonus

Hours: Full-time

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Contracts / Operations Manager to oversee the day‑day coordination and delivery of drainage surveying and remedial works.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, commercially minded individual who enjoys taking ownership of projects, managing engineers and ensuring works are delivered efficiently from initial enquiry through to completion.

Working closely with senior management, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, improve processes and play a key role in the smooth running of the operation.

The Role

• Drainage, utilities, groundworks, construction or field‑service operations.
• Understanding of CCTV drainage surveys, patch lining and excavation works.
• Experience producing RAMS.
• Knowledge of BigChange or iTouch systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
