Job summary

Adler and Allan Group in Manchester is seeking a Drainage Operative to service customers on-site, with occasional night-away duties. You will operate independently or with a team to perform tank testing, dewatering and related tasks.

You will respond to call-outs, attend site briefings as needed, and help maintain vehicles and equipment in good order. A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK are essential; RAMS knowledge is advantageous and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess a full clean UK driving licence, categories to operate Company vehicles up to 3.5tonne.
• Experience working on Petrol Forecourts is desirable.
• Right to Work in the UK is essential.
• Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently or as part of a team to service customers, to include tank and line testing, VR testing and tank dewatering.
• Respond to call outs for critical issues.
• Attend site briefings as a company representative and, when needed, act as team leader.
• Complete all paperwork and submit to divisional supervision.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, PPE and other work items are in good order.
• Liaison with supervision regarding works and opportunities for improvement.

Drainage Operative
Manchester
Permanent - Full Time
Onsite - with up to 4 nights away

Join our team as a Drainage Operative and keep things flowing!

More about the role:

• Operating independently, or as part of team to perform and deliver service to all customers of the Company. This will include for example, tank and line testing, VR testing and tank dewatering. This is not an exhaustive list. Onsite training will be provided.
• Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.
• To satisfy the duties of a site supervisor/lead operative when the occasion is presented. This will include attending site briefings as a company representative and on occasion, act as team leader.
• Carry out near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. You will be expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
• Completion of all works in a timely manner; this includes all paperwork and submission to divisional supervision.
• Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
• Any other duties for which you are qualified for and capable of undertaking.

Qualifications

• Must possess a full clean UK driving licence, categories to operate Company vehicles up to 3.5tonne.
• Working on and around Petrol Forecourts.
• Right to Work in UK is essential.
• Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation. (advantageous)
• Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
