Job summary

Adler and Allan Group is seeking a Drainage Operative in Manchester to perform and deliver essential drainage services on-site. The role involves independent work and team collaboration, with occasional nights away, and opportunities to lead on site duties.

You will handle tank testing, dewatering, RAMS completion, and liaise with customers while maintaining vehicle and equipment readiness. Onsite training is provided and you should be prepared for call-outs and reporting tasks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a full clean UK driving licence, categories to operate Company vehicles up to 3.5 tonne.
• Working on and around Petrol Forecourts.
• Right to Work in UK is essential.
• Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation. (advantageous)
• Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently, or as part of a team to perform and deliver service to all customers of the Company, including tank and line testing, VR testing and tank dewatering.
• Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.
• Satisfy duties of a site supervisor/lead operative when required, including attending site briefings and acting as team leader.
• Carry out near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
• Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and further services of the Company.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, PPE and other work items are in good order, reporting damages to supervision.
• Complete works in a timely manner; handle paperwork and submissions to divisional supervision.
• Liaise with supervision regarding works and recommend improvements of possible opportunities.
• Undertake any other duties for which you are qualified and capable.
