Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is recruiting experienced Groundworkers / Drainlayers for Stansted Airport, delivering high-quality drainage and groundwork on a major infrastructure project. You will read drawings, set out levels with laser levels, and work closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient completion of drainage systems and associated structures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in groundworks or drainage.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong understanding of site health and safety practices.
Reliable, team-oriented approach and good communication.

Responsibilities

Installation of drainage systems including clay, plastic, and concrete pipework.
Construction of manholes, chambers, and associated structures.
Carrying out trenching, benching, and concreting works.
Working from drawings and laser levels to set out accurate levels and gradients.
Ensuring correct alignment of pipelines.
Collaborating with machine operators and site teams.
Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times.
