Job summary

Lanes Group in Croydon is seeking a Drainage Engineer to join our Thames Water contract. The role is permanent and full-time, with a 4 days on / 4 days off pattern and 40.25 hours per week.

You will travel regionally to residential sites to clear and restore drainage systems using high-pressure jets. You will record visits on our specialist equipment, run diagnostics, and liaise with Thames Water on progress.

Qualifications

• Role involves travelling to residential sites and operating high‑pressure water jets.
• Experience in drainage or field service is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service and safety practices expected.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential sites to operate high-pressure water jets.
• Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
• Record job reports on specialist equipment.
• Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow health and safety practices and PPE requirements.
• Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
• Liaise with Thames Water regarding progress.
• Work unsupervised in all weather conditions.
• Carry out risk assessments for site access and conditions.
