Job summary

Arcus FM is seeking a Drainage Engineer to cover East London and surrounding areas. The role involves planned and reactive drainage tasks, with on-site duties and an on-call service to support customers during trading hours and out of hours.

Key duties include fault diagnosis, drainage surveys, and producing technical reports. You will be a brand ambassador for Arcus FM, working with store teams and the public, with a 45-hour week, 1 in 4 on-call rota, and a full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• CSCS card desirable.
• High pressure water jetting qualification desirable.
• Confined space certification desirable.
• Experience with commercial drainage systems preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and failures and provide effective solutions, escalating when needed.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and best practices at all times.
• Sponsor and complete drainage surveys and technical reports; share data with field teams.
• Act as Arcus FM brand ambassador and maintain professional image, dress, and vehicle.
• Support colleagues and apprentices with training and up-skilling as required.

Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Drainage Engineer to join our team that covers East London and the wider areas. The main purpose of the role will be to carry out planned and reactive drainage tasks safely and to a high standard. You will be providing a first line response to all emergencies during normal working hours and providing an out of hours service when on call, to keep out customer's trading.,

• Effectively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and systems and provide effective solutions and elevate where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and adhere to best working practices at all times, following processes laid down by the Health and Safety policy.
• Sponsor and complete drainage surveys and technical reports as necessary and to cascade all key data to relevant personnel throughout field operations.
• Be a Brand Ambassador for Arcus, you are what the client sees first; making a good impression, complying with the dress code and maintaining your vehicle in good condition.
• Actively support colleagues building a teamwork approach e.g. - supporting with training and up skilling of apprentices and communicating regularly and assisting when required.
  To be sucessful in this role you will need:
• Full UK driving licence (Essential)
• CSCS card (Desirable)
• High pressure water jetting qualification (Desirable)
• Confined space certification (Desirable)
• Understanding of commercial drainage systems ideally gained within a retail environment
• Understanding of CCTV and the ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment dealing with store teams and members of the public
  Salary: £37,815 per annum
